Yay… more cozy fun posts! I did a huge try on today on instagram so you can see all these pajamas below and how I mixed and matched them, so go check it out!
Every year it’s tradition in my family that we get a new pair of Christmas pajamas on Christmas Eve. We’ve continued this tradition well into our adult lives and its honestly my favorite part of the Holiday. If we only did that – I would be the happiest girl ever! It’s such a fun way to get everyone in the Holiday spirit, be funny, be creative, and spend time laughing with the ones you love in matching jammies!

Some of my favorites are below for you! Lots of sales right now so make sure to snag these now when your size is in stock because they will go fast!

Weekly Round-up!

Happy Monday Babes! Rounding up all my looks from last week with sizing and lots of other details for you! Read my reviews and then head to the gallery to shop!

First look was this adorable Color Block coat! It’s a teddy coat – which are trending right now, but it’s so different than all the other ones out there! The bold colors of pink, deep purple, and ivory make it a standout! It’s also under $80 which is amazing! It’s super warm and snuggly – and has such an easy fit. I’m obsessed! Wearing an xsmall.

I rounded up a TON of booties for you last week as well… with this blush pair being one of my favorites. They come in a few colors, and currently on sale! I love how flat they are, and the braiding detail adds such a great pop of detail! I chose the light pink color – which paired well with the jacket – but they go with white, black, grey’s browns… literally all of your basic colors! They’re super cute and run TTS.

Check out my boot post for all my favorite booties for fall, at many different price points! Here’s a close up of the fun detail on the top of these little ankle boots! The heel is very low too, and they’re really comfortable!

My second look was this AHHHmazing poncho from Chicwish. This was gifted to me as part of a collaboration – and I’m OBSESSSSSSED! I mean I know I say that about everything I own – ha, but this is something I would not have picked for myself, so I’m so glad this was choosen for me! The deep rust/brown color is so perfect for fall and all the upcoming holidays! This would be perfect for Thanksgiving as you can hide all that turkey and stuffing under it! The sleeves are dollman – so everything just hangs so perfectly. Wearing and small!

These boots I snagged during the #nsale, and I’m finally rocking them! They’re such a deep brown color and have a nice suede finish. They have little studs around the edge of the boots by the ankle giving it a little more detail. These are Sole Society, so they’re comfortable and a great price point. Run TTS. Paired them with my favorite Madewell perforated tote in that same shade of deep brown.

Another amazing sweater from Chicwish is below! How cute are these pom hearts? This sweater comes in a few colors, and there’s also kids sizes too so if you have a daughter – you can have her match you! The ivory is such a bright crisp color, and the poms are in the shape of little hearts! The neckline is a soft V which makes it easy to wear off the shoulder like I did in the photo! It’s chunky and warm and just perfect to pair with your favorite jeans or skirt!

Also – the Sephora Sale is going on every weekend this month depending on your membership level! If you’re not a Beauty insider – no worries, you can sign up today for free and still shop the sale! So many great deals and the perfect time to load up on all your favorite beauty products, skincare, hair care… and holiday gift sets! See my Sephora Sale post of all the things I’ll be shopping for!

These last two pictures – uggghhh can we just savor the leaves for a moment? I do brighten up my photos a little bit – however these trees looked exactly the same in person as they do int he picture! I don’t want winter to come yet!

This first look – I was a little worried I had wayyy to much tan/camel tones going on – but you guys love it! Yay! These boots and sweater are two of my favorite purchases so far this season. It took me a while to get on the OTK boot trend, but I’m so glad I finally spend the money on these bad boys! I can never find a pair that is slim enough, but stays up on my legs and these are perfect! Run TTS.

This skirt is under $50 and I love that it’s corduroy! It’s really high wasited, but still covers your butt. Very important for me, ha! I’m too old to have things hanging out! Another reason I paired it with this long Madewell color block sweater! This sweater can be worn with anything, any color top under it, and casual or dressy. It’s a little expensive full price – I wait until they go on sale, but they’re definitely worth the money! They don’t shrink and the fit is amazing. Also, they’re very soft for a wool sweater! Wearing an xsmall!

And finally – this cute little sweater thermal! I love it! The sleeves are so pretty and the detail on them is unreal! Free people is one of my favorite brands for this reason. I went up one size in this to a small, and the fit is perfect. Tuck it in, wear it with a skirt, wear it out with some booties – it looks great with anything. Definitely a front runner for Thanksgiving week! Happy shopping babes! So much fun stuff coming up for the Holiday Season! Stay Tuned!

Monday’s OOTD

I’ve posted this look before… but showing you again, because it’s so versatile in all seasons. Also – this old navy swing dress is $12 with another 35% off at checkout… what?!?! Stocked in every single size and it’s so soft and stretchy. I’ve knotted it, pinched it like in the photo, or worn it as is and it’s so fabulous any way! Great length for work, and enough room that when you do knot it for a different look, it’s still long enough to cover everything! I’m wearing a small.

This sweater is also everything. I now have it in three colors – stripe, oatmeal, and bright red. It’s the best thing I own in my closet. You can wear it over dresses, shorts, pants, skirts… it’s light enough for summer weather, but will easily transition into fall and winter with some jeans and fun boots. It’s under $70 and I wear them all the time! I’m wearing a Small Petite. Normally I do not get petite sizes, but the fit in the length and sleeves was better for me. This brand does run a little big, so size down if you’re unsure. Also – does not shrink when you wash/dry! AMEN. I figured that out when I forgot to pull it to hang dry, and put it in the dryer on a full cycle – ha!

Everything else is linked below for you. Come back tomorrow for my new August series – Tuesday Transition! See how I style more summer pieces into fall to help stretch your closet and go easy on your wallet!

Thursdays are for Sales!

This little wrap top is so sweet… and currently on sale for $32! I’m wearing a US 4. There are two buttons that hold it in place, so it won’t slip open or reveal anything it should not! The ruffles add such a feminine detail, and the sleeves are fluted so they flutter in the breeze and with movement.

These earrings are also a steal right now, and come in four colors. I have the red currently and may grab another! Use code SHOPSUMMER at JCrew for 30% off!

Everyday Madewell

I’ve recently fell in love with this brand in the past year… thanks to my new sister-in-law. She always looks so cute and classic and usually whenever I ask her what she’s wearing – her response is “oh it’s from Madewell!” I’ve gotten some great pieces from them that last, and the quality is unmatched. I am all about affordable fashion, and while some of their items are a little bit more than I typically like to spend, I am comforted to know that when it arrives it will be beautiful, durable, and worth the little extra change.

This top is a perfect example of the above! There is always a need for a couple great white and black classic tops for your summer wardrobe… and this one takes the cake! It’s an eyelet cut shirt that is flowy and hangs beautifully on any body type. It’s not stiff, and the elastic is not tight where it’s cutting off circulation! The ties V into the back and tie with a bow to give it a little extra detail. You could easily tuck those in if you wanted to wear this top as a tube. I’m wearing an x-small.

I’ve paired it with my Levi’s 501 denim shorts. This fit is so classic and the length is perfect. There is a little distressing on them too, but not too much. They button up the front and run true to size.

This little bag is no longer available – but there are so many cute straw and woven clutches out there, so I’ve posted a few of my other favorites at great price points!

I love a good pop of red… and this shirt is the perfect shade! It’s bright red with a tint of orange, and has the cutest little flower print to add some detail and texture. It actually stays in place too! Hooray. Sometimes with a wrap top you can get caught up in lunch, chatting, having fun… and you look down and half your girls are hanging out… whoops! not with this top. It lays perfectly and does not fly open unexpectedly.  I’m wearing a size small.

My jeans are from the gap and they’re the best fit. Gap denim is super stretchy and just molds to your figure. They’re typically under $70 and they’re durable! I just ordered four new pairs over the memorial day sale, and I love them all!

Shoes and bag are on repeat – gotta love a good tan pair of wedges and round circle bag!

Off Shoulder Top

This is the first top I’ve bough from Vici Dolls, and it wont be the last! This top is so cute and I love how it highlights my shoulders and neckline! It’s really scrunchy across the shoulders and chest, but not too tight that you’re constantly needing to move it around. The back V’s as well – just like the front. It’s flowy and comfortable, has a slight elastic band on the lower arm that makes the sleeve pop – and will hide any food baby you got going on! Mine is usually a pizza baby, ha! Great with any type of jean or shorts! I’m wearing a size small.

My jeans are from the gap. The fit is great and they run true to size. They’re slightly higher waisted, and the length is right at the ankle. Perfect for gladiator sandals, or an ankle strap – because they will still show with this jean! I’ve also linked another pair of great white jeans that are currently on sale from articles of society!

My little circle bag is Rebecca Minkoff. She (yes… she) can be worn as a cross body or as a small hand held satchel. The camel suede is a perfect color that goes with everything. It is a little on the pricier side – I got this with my work bonus, but I love her bags and this one is so versatile and will work all year round.

The shoes I’m wearing are currently on sale for $40! They are a camel suede and lace up. I got them last summer in two colors and I just love the detail they add to any casual outfit. They’re also great with summer dresses! I linked another pair of gladiators I own from the same brand – they’re also marked down to $87 from $110 on zappos!

Stripe Jumpsuit Perfection

Jumpsuits can be tricky for me- too short, doesn’t hit my stomach line well, tight in all the wrong places… But this one takes the cake!

Ladies, if you are tall… this jumpsuit is for you! I am 5’5” and wearing 4 inch heels and it’s just hitting the ground! Great length, and can easily be taken up if you’re petite. There is built in lining in the top, and the material is so soft and comfortable. Looks like denim, but moves and feels like cotton. For under $70, this will be a staple in my wardrobe for summer brunches, parties, rooftop cocktails, and cruising around Chicago! I am wearing a size small!

This bag is also a dupe of the $175 Clare V. bag… for only $48 at Free people! It’s almost identical. It can be worn as a crossbody or carried by the handle. Great neutral bag for the summer! I posted both for you below.

Earrings are Bauble Bar. They make the best statement earrings and the quality is fantastic. These are currently on sale for $18 and come in a few colors. The entire site is having a huge sale, and the more you buy the more you safe! Click here.

The 5 Most Valuable Things My Mom Taught Me

Celebrating my mom is not something I need a special day for, however on actual Mother’s day… I get to shower my mom with love, a little present, and the best gift of all – time with her most amazing middle child, me! I am blessed to live close to my mom so I can spend these times with her and spoil her with a fun brunch in Chicago!

Fitting that we went to a new Hawaiian inspired restaurant called Mahalo – which means “thank you”. I have so many things to thank my mom for! My great hair and big eyes, my creative side, and countless times she’s kept me above water when I felt like I was going to inevitably drown. She’s always been there for me, and I owe a lot of my character and who I am today to my mother.

The five best things my mother taught me are things that have shaped me and made me a better person. I try to relate back to them as much as possible if I’m going through a rough time, struggling at my job, feeling lonely, and also when everything feels like it’s going right!

  1. It’s never too late to start anything. I debated for over a year whether or not to start my blog… was I too old? Was it too late in life to jump into something new? And then I remember all the times my mom decided to do something new – and she didn’t just take a leap of faith and casually stroll through her new venture, she goes all in! My mother was a stay at home mom when we were younger, but when I was in high school, she decided to jump into real estate. At the time, I was like “ok cool” this will be fun for her! This woman put so much work into putting her brand out there, selling herself, her value… marketing herself in every way possible. Today she is one of the top agents in the state – and works harder than anyone I know. A couple years ago she also decided to join a gym to help her lose weight, feel better about herself, and improve her health. She is 60+(ish) years old – ha, I wont reveal, and is still so dedicated and works out 5-6 times per week! She is the best shape she’s ever been, lost a LOT of weight, is so much healthier… and is more active than ever! It’s never too late to start anything if it’s important to you.
  2.  Family can have so many meanings. My mom has taught me that family doesn’t always mean what you’re born into. Family can be anyone you surround yourself with who support you, uplift you, embrace who you are, and love you as you are. Thankfully my core immediate family is super close, and we will remain that way hopefully forever… but not everyone has that same bond with their parents, siblings, extended family, etc. For whatever the reason – sometimes other people in your life are more “family” than blood relatives, and those relationships are so important to hang onto. Family can be anyone, any group, any relationship that adds value to your life and is worth holding onto. My mom has the strongest network of women behind her who are all basically sisters to her and it’s so amazing to see them support each other.
  3. Stand tall and strong, no matter who or what tries to push you down. Much easier said than done, but my Mom is one of the strongest people I know. She has been through a lot in her life, but always has a way of coming out on top. She is always the bigger person, the bigger heart, and stays true to herself in any situation regardless of what others may think or feel about it. This is something that is hard for me everyday. I always worry about what people think, what are they going to say, why is this person constantly trying to bring me down? There will always be those people in your life who have an opinion you didn’t ask for, or judge you just because. My mom is always putting herself first and staying true to everything she values and her own morals- without everything else ever getting in the way. It’s something I hope to be as good at someday, and will continue to fight to be as strong as she is.
  4. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness. Asking for help is not one of my strengths. I like to do things on my own, get through things on my own, and think that if I do it myself without help I am the winner! However, bottling everything up, or keeping feelings on lock down is not always the best way to handle things. This is especially true for emotions. Talk to someone, open up, see a therapist… all of these options do not mean you’re weak – they mean you’re human. Why sit and stew and try and figure it out when there are people out there who CAN and WANT to help. This applies to relationships, jobs, financial issues… anything really. Ask for help! My mom has never been afraid to ask for help whether its something small, a big project, when it comes to sorting out emotions – and unapologetically asks for help when needed. This is something I think is so brave.
  5.  Do you. We can change who we are to better ourselves, but also love who we are everyday. My mom is funny, cute, loves her kids to death, loves shopping, her friends, hosting parties, collecting napkins and straws, works even on vacation, takes a million pictures even when we all whine and complain after the 100’th one and make funny faces at her… but she is herself everyday. Even when we are the most annoying version of ourselves, or the funniest, or the most confident – be yourself everyday and value your worth.

There are probable a million other things my mom has taught me… but these are the five I am most grateful of! I don’t know what I would do without her, and I am so blessed to have her in my life everyday. Happy Mother’s day Momma… you are the WINNER of today… and all days! Love you so much and thank you for being you and being the glue that holds our perfect family together.
